The Careers in Science, Computation, Innovation, and Engineering Undergraduate Research Symposium provides students from across STEM disciplines in the College the opportunity to present their summer work to members of the campus community. In addition, the Symposium is an outstanding venue for potential STEM students to explore the breadth and depth of undergraduate research that UChicago students are conducting on campus and across the world. The Symposium features two student poster sessions as well as student lectures. In addition, the Symposium hosts an annual Keynote Lecture, which showcases the outstanding work of a University of Chicago faculty member conducting cutting-edge research in their field.
The 6th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium will take place on Friday, October 11th, from 11:00 – 3:00 PM. Students who have conducted undergraduate research and who will be in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th years in the College at the time of the Symposium are highly encouraged to apply to present their work. This is an outstanding opportunity to build scientific communication skills and to see your work celebrated by UChicago students, faculty, and staff. To present at the Symposium, please apply here by September 5th. Campus community members interested in attending the 2019 Keynote Lecture can RSVP here by October 4th. Student poster sessions do not require RSVP. If you have any questions or you require special assistance, please contact Sophia Vojta (email@example.com).
