This trip opened my eyes to many opportunities to change New York's education landscape. After visiting the Department of Education, public schools, charter schools, and teaching programs, I now have a very good idea of how public education in New York differs from that in Chicago, and will look into careers in teaching or policy in the near future. I also had the wonderful opportunity to meet other passionate U of C students who I look forward to staying in touch with!” - Bowen Yang (AB’14)
