Entrepreneurship Explorer Program in San Francisco, CA
The Entrepreneurship Explorer Program is a 4-day experience led by Career Advancement's UChicago Careers in Entrepreneurship and UChicago Careers in STEM programs for up to 20 incoming first-year students. As part of the experience, students will build a network with other members of the incoming class and local UChicago alumni and enjoy the food, culture and business environment of San Francisco and the Silicon Valley region.
The program is designed for students eager to begin career exploration in the field of entrepreneurship, regardless of their industry experience. Entrepreneurship Explorer participants will meet seasoned professionals and leaders across different companies and engage in meaningful interactions with fellow classmates, upperclassmen, and alumni to learn about entrepreneurship, observational design, and ideation. Through cohort-based activities led by a Career Advancement staff member, students will also explore the city and have a chance to connect with other members of the incoming class prior to their start at the University. All participants will be matched with a roommate for lodging purposes and will have the opportunity to engage with other program participants online prior to start of the program.
$1,000. Includes lodging, meals, local transportation between site visits, and the cost of organized group activities. Need-based financial aid available.
