To further support your firm’s commitment to equity, access, and equal opportunity, UChicago invites you to partner with us on sourcing diverse and dynamic talent.
UChicago students come from a highly diverse range of cultural, geographic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Your organization can benefit from our students’ wide variety of experiences, perspectives, and skills.
Employers are strongly encouraged to participate in the opportunities below to connect with students from many different backgrounds, and our employer relations specialists are happy to assist you with creating a customized recruiting strategy.
Talent Sourcing Opportunities
Attend the UChicago Stand Together Student-Employer Forum
Join us in Autumn 2020 for an opportunity to hear directly from under-represented students on what they look for in an employer and share best practices with other organizations on how to attract and retain diverse talent.
Participate in the Diversity + Inclusion Summit
Celebrate diversity in the workplace and connect with students during this day-long, conference-style event. Select employers also have the opportunity to facilitate breakout sessions. The summit will be held on January 27, 2021.
Connect with Student Organizations
Meet students from a wide variety of backgrounds by scheduling meet and greet events with student organizations. You can view a list of active student organizations here.
Hire Interns
You can source diverse talent by recruiting from specialized UChicago internship cohorts, including:
- Odyssey Metcalf Internship Program, for students of many career interests from families with limited income
- John W. Rogers, Jr. Internship Program in Finance, for students preparing for financial services careers, many of whom are from under-represented backgrounds
Join the Equity and Access Employer Council
UChicago is convening a group of forward-thinking employers across a wide range of industries to reimagine diversity recruiting. Council members will advise the University on how it can help employers support diverse talent and collaborate with UChicago on designing new approaches to recruiting and career preparation for under-represented students. If you’re interested in getting involved, please contact Cristina Rodriguez at crrodriguez@uchicago.edu.
Design Your Own Event
