UChicago 4+1 Scholars Master's Programs

Take your career to the next level with UChicago’s 4+1 graduate programs! These special programs allow you to continue your intellectual journey right here in Hyde Park and graduate with both a bachelor’s and master’s degree, typically within 5 years.

These programs are a great option for students who want to build specialized skills, boost their earning potential, and enhance their competitiveness in the job market.

Eligible Programs & Admissions Criteria

All admissions criteria below are for applicants applying through the 4+1 Scholars Program. After being accepted to the UChicago 4+1 Scholars Program, students must continue to meet the criteria below to maintain their eligibility for their graduate program, including completing all required coursework before matriculation.

Course Credit

Please note that as a 4+1 Scholar, you matriculate into the master’s program after graduation from the College. The 4+1 program does not allow you to double count your undergraduate coursework toward your master’s degree. If you are interested in starting your master’s degree while still in undergrad, please consider a Joint Degree Program.
