Matt Hebron served as the inaugural Program Director for Careers in Engineering. Prior to joining the University of Chicago, Matt spent several years in management consulting at ZS Associates in the Chicago and San Francisco office. He was responsible for leading an array of projects from sales operations to business strategy with major pharmaceutical companies. Matt was a Fulbright finalist to conduct research in the Philippines for disaster relief response. He currently serves as a Producer at PME's STAGE (Scientists Technologists & Artists Generating Exploration) Lab - a full-scale laboratory embedded within a science and engineering school devoted to collaborations among scientists and artists.
Deepak Mistry is an accomplished, results-driven marketing leader with repeated success in directing and implementing product strategy, strategic development, digital marketing, and commercialization in life science, molecular biology, biotechnology, pharma and healthcare. He has more than 15 years’ experience and expertise in launching life science and biotechnology products by leading product strategy to enable strategic growth, drive market positioning, and integrated marketing. Deepak holds degrees in molecular biology and biotechnology from the University of Chicago.
Chirag Sachar graduated from UChicago in 2016, studying Biology and Molecular Engineering, and went straight to the MS/PhD program at Columbia University, studying Biomedical Engineering. His research focused on engineering the immune system to improve immunotherapies. He is now the senior manager of business development and alliance management at Immunai, and Israeli biotech startup where he focuses on leveraging Immunai's machine learning platform to support Pharma drug development in the cancer and autoimmunity spaces. In addition, Chirag is an adjunct assistant professor at Columbia, teaching biomedical innovation for the graduate engineering program.
