Behavioral Sciences

Careers in Behavioral Sciences supports students interested in a diverse range of careers including clinical psychology, advertising/marketing, mental health services, human resources, behavioral analytics, and social research.

Biological Sciences

Receive comprehensive career support to prepare for cutting-edge careers in bioengineering, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, public health, ecology & evolution, and more.

Computer Science

Explore careers in software engineering, data science, information technology, and related fields while benefiting from the University’s resources and faculty expertise in artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, and quantum computing.

Engineering

In partnership with the Pritzker School for Molecular Engineering, Careers in Engineering prepares students with design immersions, personalized career advising, networking opportunities, and opportunities with a diverse range of employers.

Physical Sciences

Careers in Physical Sciences works closely with world-class faculty and researchers within the Physical Sciences Division and national labs like Argonne and FermiLab to help students explore opportunities in chemistry, biochemistry, physics, clean energy, astronomy, statistics, quantum, environmental and geophysical sciences, and mathematics. Make appointments through UChicago Handshake to meet with expert advisors across STEM industry areas.

INTERNSHIP AND JOB SHADOWING OPPORTUNITIES 

The Jeff Metcalf Internship Program, unique to the University of Chicago, offers paid, substantive internships around the world exclusively to undergraduates. Through the Job Shadowing Program, students shadow and learn from alumni in their field of interest.

Research Opportunities

Careers in STEM closely partners with Argonne National Laboratory, Fermilab, and Marine Biological Laboratory to bring leading scientists and students together, offer access to world-class facilities, and provide extensive research and internship opportunities for undergraduates.
