Arts and Humanities Program

The Arts and Humanities Program gives students the opportunity to discover and develop interdisciplinary careers across a wide range of fields including film, literature, visual arts, music, gaming, theatre, animation, academia, and more!

This one-year adventure brings together early-career students focused on combining the robust UChicago Arts and Humanities curriculum with cutting-edge technical skill development. Throughout your journey, you’ll receive support from experts at Career Advancement, the Arts and Humanities Division and practitioners aligned with students’ dedicated fields of interest.

All incoming first year students are eligible to apply to Arts and Humanities. Prior experience is not required!

Comprehensive Career Preparation

Arts and Humanities participants complete a one-year curriculum that includes professional development workshops, technical skill trainings, career treks, funded internships, and guest speakers including faculty, practitioners, and employers.

Over the course of the year, students may engage in the following programming and experiences:

  • Dedicated, tailored advising

  • 1-on-1 conversations with professionals in your field of interest

  • Arts and Humanities career treks to visit employers

  • Academic year micro-internship projects

  • Funded summer internships

All members of the incoming Class of 2029 are eligible to apply. Applications will open in Spring 2025.
