Civic Career Corps

The Civic Career Corps provides career resources, leadership development, and funded internship opportunities for students pursuing public interest careers, including government, policy, think tanks, nonprofits, and social service.

All incoming first-year students are eligible to apply. Prior experience is not required!

Workshops, Programming, and Internships

The program offers a comprehensive series of workshops to help students build the knowledge, connections, and skills they need to launch a successful career in public service. Upcoming workshop topics may include:

  • From Passion to Action: Introduction to Public Service Careers

  • Personal Branding and Storytelling

  • Informational Interviewing and Career Research

  • Interview Preparation

In addition to expert support from program staff, all Civic Career Corps participants will receive an upperclass student mentor. Students will have opportunities to meet with their mentor throughout the program to informally discuss career planning, networking internships, and more.

The program also helps students secure funded internship opportunities.

How to Apply

All members of the incoming Class of 2029 are eligible to apply. Applications will open in Spring 2025.
