Global Health Careers welcomes all students who are interested in the field of international health and health equity. Students pursue careers in a broad range of fields including public health, research, human development, nonprofits, international, federal, and local policy making, environmental health and sustainability, foundations management, data science and more! Career Advancement program advisers offer guidance and industry expertise to help students identify global health opportunities best suited to their skills and interests.

Internships
The University of Chicago partners with a number of organizations to help students build professional skills, such as La Ruche Health, United Nationals Population Fund, Save the Children, Women in Global Health, LIRNE Asia, mWater, Oxfam and many others.

Global Health Internship and Career Development Programs
Global Health Careers provides a number of opportunities for you to get involved, meet other students interested in global health, and develop key professional skills.
Global Health Scholars Program. The Pozen Global Health Scholars Program is a selective track that introduces undergraduates to a broad scope of functions needed in the field of health equity. Open to first, second, and third-year students of all majors, students apply to join annually in Spring Quarter.
Kiphart Collegiate Fellows Program. The Kiphart Collegiate Fellows Program provides students with stipends to support experiential learning internships in global health and social development, with a preferred focus on the Global South.
Center for Global Health – Summer Research Fellowship. The CGH Summer Research Fellowship allows promising undergraduate students to take part in a 10 to 12-week Fellowship where they will benefit from first-hand experience working in research settings in Chicago and one of our partnering sites abroad. CGH’s prestigious partnerships offer a strong local mentoring infrastructure as well as longitudinal and well-defined projects.
Kiphart Global Health and Social Development Policy Challenge
Career Advancement is partnering with the Kiphart Center for Global Health and Social Development to offer a four-week policy challenge for second-and third-year students to propose policy solutions to the challenge of promoting environmental justice. Visit the Challenge overview page to learn more.
