Kiphart Collegiate Fellows Program

The Kiphart Center for Global Health and Social Development, established in 2021, seeks to expand educational initiatives and global health and social development research and innovation to advance global health equity and well-being. With a focus on the social determinants of health and the ways in which social development policy and practice can promote the advancement and welfare of vulnerable populations around the world, the Center brings together expertise from around the University to build knowledge, train students, incubate innovative interventions, and shape policy and practice toward the health and well-being of marginalized populations globally.

Program Overview

Career Advancement has partnered with this innovative center to launch the Kiphart Collegiate Fellows Program, which will provide a cohort of College students stipends to support experiential learning internships in global health and social development, with a preferred focus on the Global South.

Additionally, Kiphart Fellow are required to participate in several fellowship-related events, including a spring kickoff event, pre-departure orientation workshops, meetings with Kiphart Center leadership, and capstone presentations in Autumn Quarter where Kiphart Fellows will present on their internship experience.
