STEM Career Fair

STEM employers are invited to participate in our Career Fair from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14th.

The Career Fair is a networking opportunity for you to meet and greet with students, advertise open positions, promote your Summer 2025 internship program, and recruit for full-time roles open to Spring graduates.

Employers will receive table space in Ida Noyes Hall to interact with students at the Career Fair. Employers will also be designated as official UChicago hiring partners.

Employers interested in hiring University of Chicago students for the following cohorts will find the Career Fair particularly relevant:

• Students graduating in Spring 2025.

• Summer 2025 student interns with a target graduation in 2026, 2027, or 2028.

Additionally, company specific information sessions or networking sessions for the week of January 13^th are available by request to Tiana Bowden, Senior Assistant Director, Career Advancement at tianab@uchicago.edu.

The University of Chicago greatly appreciates partners interested in hiring students. All employers participating in the Career Fair will receive:

• Table space to meet-and-greet with interested students.

• A resume book of all registered attendees at the STEM Career Fair.

• An opportunity to be highlighted ahead of the event to attract student interest.

• An opportunity to conduct in-person interviews the morning of January 14th before the Career Fair or during the week of January 13th on-campus.

• An opportunity to post full-time jobs and internships to University of Chicago students, specially promoted by Career Advancement to relevant student groups.

We have found that our most successful student-partner networking events have several characteristics. Accordingly, we encourage our partners to:

• Bring ways for students to engage in follow-up activities, whether it’s a summer internship, a volunteer opportunity, a full-time job, an event to attend, or a way to get more involved in your organization.

• Speak candidly about your own career background and choices – students want to hear not just about your organization but your own career path!

• Participating students will have a variety of interests, backgrounds, and levels of experience. If you find a student you’re particularly interested in collaborating with, or would like to develop an opportunity, don’t hesitate to reach out to Career Advancement – we’re here to help facilitate and fund opportunities!

University of Chicago students have a wide range of career interests.

Available STEM majors include: biological science, chemistry, computer science, data science, environmental science, mathematics, physics, astronomy and astrophysics, molecular engineering, geographical science, and neuroscience.

Many of our STEM student choose to further specialize in areas like quantum, computational biology, business economics, and geographic information science.

On-Campus Lab Registration

Registering and participating in the STEM Career Fair is provided at no cost to UChicago lab groups.

Employer Registration

• Maroon - Includes career fair participation, company highlight on the event page, and promotion of open roles through student channels.

• Gold - Includes career fair participation, company highlight on the event page, promotion of open roles through student channels, and specialized student meetings (e.g., breakouts, coffee chats)

• Platinum - Includes career fair participation, promotion of open roles through student channels, company highlight on the event page, specialized student meetings, individualized hiring assistance, and the option to host an info session.

Employer Parking

Parking is available on 59th St. outside the building or on adjacent Midway Plaisance. Parking availability and proximity can vary considerably depending on the day – while it is available free of charge, we recommend planning for a 5–10-minute walk from the Midway Plaisance.
