UChicago Impact Competition

The UChicago Impact Competition is a “Shark Tank” style competition where teams of students pitch ideas to address a policy challenge. Each year features a different policy theme.

Each team will have 4 people, but students do not need to have an existing team to sign up. We will match all students into teams of four people.

For the 2025 competition, students worked with a local nonprofit on a specific case related to public transportation in Chicago. The winning team received $10,000 and the second-place team received $3,000. The winning team also received an opportunity to implement their idea with the local partnering organization.

This opportunity is open to all years and majors! Registration for the 2026 competition will open in the winter.
