Aspiring Attorneys

The Aspiring Attorneys Program helps first-year students kickstart their career discernment journey in the legal field by introducing them to resources and activities they can utilize to plan their journey to law school and a legal career. Cohort members enjoy professional development, workshops, mentoring, and invaluable networking opportunities with practicing lawyers.

Over the course of their first year at UChicago, Aspiring Attorneys cohort members complete immersive and exploratory career preparation programming that includes professional development workshops, mentorship from upperclassmen and/or law school students, funded legal internships and research experiences, and invaluable networking opportunities with industry leaders and faculty.

All rising first-year students are eligible to apply for Aspiring Attorneys. Prior experience is not required!
