The Kiphart Center for Global Health and Social Development, established in 2021, seeks to expand educational initiatives and global health and social development research and innovation to advance global health equity and well-being. With a focus on the social determinants of health and the ways in which social development policy and practice can promote the advancement and welfare of vulnerable populations around the world, the Center brings together expertise from around the University to build knowledge, train students, incubate innovative interventions, and shape policy and practice toward the health and well-being of marginalized populations globally.
CHALLENGE OVERVIEW
Career Advancement is partnering with this new, innovative center to offer a four-week policy challenge for second-and third-year students to propose policy solutions to the challenge of promoting environmental justice. The Challenge will culminate in a virtual presentation at the end of the summer, where teams of students will present their policy solution to a panel of judges and compete for a grand prize of $5,000.
