Night on Wall Street

Thursday, November 6 & Friday, November 7, 2024

This selective industry event draws 100 second-year students, presenting an opportunity to kick off early engagement for summer 2025 recruiting.

Computer Science Hackathon

Saturday, February 15 - Sunday, February 16, 2025:

Students will put their coding skills to the test in this hands-on, multi-day challenge. Judged by alumni in tech and industry professionals, teams will have the opportunity to showcase their work and compete for prize money.

Quantum Forum

Friday, April 25, 2025:

The annual Chicago Quantum Recruiting Forum brings together the rising generation of quantum scientists and engineers. This forum is an outstanding opportunity for students and trainees across the STEM disciplines interested in pursuing quantum information through physics, computing, or engineering to catalyze their careers by attending workshops, employer sessions, and a networking reception.

STEM Career Fair

Tuesday, January 14, 2025

This event invites students across all STEM majors to network with employers about internships, research opportunities, and full-time career opportunities. We are excited to host this event as a platform for employers to engage with the rising generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators! Learn more on this page.

Marketing Pathways

Friday, February 21:

Introduce students to the variety of career opportunities in the marketing field, facilitate meaningful dialogue on current industry topics, and connect with during the networking reception.

Consulting Symposium

Friday, May 2, 2025:

Engage with second and third-year students interested in management and economic consulting. Connect with students ahead of next recruiting season: shape students’ understanding of the industry through the Industry Insights Panel, facilitate a case simulation, and network with 200+ high-potential candidates interested in consulting.

Diversity + Inclusion Summit

Friday, February 7, 2025:

Celebrate diversity in the workplace and connect with 150+ students during this day-long, conference-style event.

Consulting Career Pathways Alumni Panel

Friday, February 28:

Calling on UChicago alumni in consulting: if you’re interested in sharing about your role and helping undergraduates prepare break into the industry, we invite you to join a panel of expert practitioners of top consulting firms.

Career Trek Site Visits

Meet students on your turf and showcase your organization through small group discussions and networking.

Host an immersive experience for a group of 15-25 students on-site for a one-to-two-hour visit. You can shape the visit based on your recruiting needs and opportunities. Common student engagements include an overview of the organization with key representatives, professional opportunities and career pathways, and a Q&A with networking.

The trek program positions you to:

  • Connect with a select pool of high-achieving students

  • Build your organization’s brand among UChicago students

  • Promote internship and full-time job opportunities

  • Share young professionals’ understanding of the industry and help them prepare

  • UChicago Trading Competition: Friday, April 11 - Saturday, April 12, 2025: Students from across the nation who share a passion for trading and quantitative finance come together for this competition, where they compete in teams in simulated trading. Job Shadow

Job Shadowing

The Job Shadowing Program provides undergraduates the opportunity to explore their career interests by shadowing employer hosts for 1-5 days virtually or in-person. The program offers great flexibility and structures the experience based on your schedule and preferences throughout the academic year or during winter, spring, and summer breaks.

This is a great chance for alumni and friends of the university to support students’ professional development by growing their professional network and exploring their professional interests. You might even find your next intern!
