Alumni Board Job Shadowing Program

Program Overview

Spend 1-5 enriching days learning more about an exciting career through the Alumni Board Job Shadowing Program!

A partnership between Career Advancement and the Alumni Board, the Alumni Board Job Shadowing Program gives undergraduates the opportunity to shadow UChicago alumni, family members, and friends at their place of work during winter, spring, and summer breaks. During a job shadowing experience, also known as an "externship," students get a firsthand look at the daily life in their field of interest, expand their professional network, and identify possible career paths.

Want to Participate?

Applications for the Winter 2019 cycle will open in September 2019.

Please note that all costs related to the job shadowing experience must be covered by the student, including but not limited to housing, transportation, and meals. If you live on-campus and would like to remain in Chicago over the break, please contact College Housing.
