Take a Two-Day Trip, Find a Lifelong Career
Treks are career exploration experiences that bring groups of 15-25 students to meet with potential employers throughout the United States and around the world.
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the University has restricted all non-essential travel. Although we are not able to host in-person treks at this time, we are excited to host a set of virtual treks during the Spring break!
Treks are designed to give students a practical understanding of both daily life in their field of interest and the best way to successfully find a career in that field. Participating students have the opportunity to expand their professional network, learn more about potential jobs and internships, and find out whether a particular career field matches their interests, skills, and values.
Career Advancement encourages students at all stages of their career development process to attend treks. Previous trek attendees have reported that their trek helped them:
- Clarify their career goals
- Feel more confident in networking situations
- Identify concrete ways to secure a career in their field of interest
To find out more about the program, please browse the program FAQ. You can view a list of upcoming treks on the trek application procedures page.
